Mathematics Open Days
The College participates in the annual Open Days for prospective applicants organised by the Faculty of Mathematics. During the morning, Gonville & Caius College hosts a talk with the Director of Studies and current students, as well as providing a tour of the College, refreshments and brunch. Open Day guests are then free to attend the lectures, drop-in sessions and activities taking place at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences.
In 2019 the Maths Open Days will be held on Saturday 27 April and Saturday 4 May. The programme for the morning at Caius commences at 10.15am with refreshments, for a 10.30am start. The event will conclude after brunch, in time for you to attend the afternoon at the Faculty. Please note that the College event is for prospective students only, not parents and supporters. A copy of the programme can be downloaded here, and will be sent by email to those who have booked a place.
Booking a Place
To register for the Faculty Open Day you will need to visit the Faculty website and follow their instructions for booking online. When you book your ticket, you can select a joint College/Faculty ticket, and choose Gonville & Caius. Please note that this event is for prospective applicants only; regrettably, we cannot accommodate parents/supporters. Booking will be open until 25 April for the May event. If you have any queries about the Open Days, or about booking a place, please do get in touch with us with or the Faculty of Mathematics.
Caius is well located for the Centre of Mathematical Sciences, as both the Old Courts and Harvey Court sites are approximately a 20-minute walk from Wilberforce Road. The College is also easily accessible using the Madingley Road Park&Ride bus service and the Universal bus service (formerly called Uni4).
