Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Data Protection Act 2018 (the Acts), individuals have rights to obtain information held by Gonville & Caius College. The College promotes the public understanding of its activities via the systematic publication of relevant information. How to make a FOI request
You are allowed to ask the College to provide you with any information held by the College. Before submitting a request you are advised to check the College’s Publication Scheme to determine whether the information you require is already available.
If you wish to make an enquiry about information held by the College not already by other means, then please either email or write directly to the College Freedom of Information Officer at the address below:

- Complying with section 11 of FOI where the applicant has expressed a preference for the means of communication and where this is reasonably practicable.
Charges may also be made for information provided under this scheme where they are legally authorised, they are in all the circumstances, including the general principles of the right of access to information held by public authorities, justified and are in accordance with a published schedule or schedules of fees which is readily available to the public.

Requests for Personal Information

If you wish to make a subject access request, then please contact the College Data Protection Lead. There is no fee for this service unless the request is deemed manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case the College may refuse it on the grounds that it exceeds the appropriate cost limit, or reserve the right to charge a fee.
