Commis Chef

Applications are invited for the exciting roles of Commis Chef at Gonville and Caius College, a college of the University of Cambridge. We are looking for people to join us at an exciting time when Caius is travelling on a journey to deliver food excellence throughout our food provision. 

As Commis Chef you will be experienced in working in a varied number of sections within the Kitchen including vegetable, larder and pastry. Qualified to NVQ 2/3 in professional cookery you will have a keen interest in modern pastry, street food, modern techniques and varied cuisines. The roles will report to the Head Chef and Sous Chefs and you should be willing to learn new techniques in all areas.

The salary for these posts is in the region of £17,000 for Commis Chef for a 40 hour week, 5 days out of 7. The College offers automatic enrollment into a pension scheme and 33 days annual holiday (including Public Holidays), together with a uniform, meals on duty and a medical cashback scheme.
