The first year of Cambridge Higher Aspirations Scheme (Norfolk) concluded with a celebration at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge on Monday 27 September.

In November 2020, the College launched, in collaboration with Norfolk County Council, the sustained programme for around 150 year 12 students from state schools across Norfolk. Read more about the scheme launch on our website.

Participating students received six supervisions from Cambridge PhD students in the subject they hope to go on to study at university across an eight-month period, detailed Cambridge application support, and had the chance to visit Caius.

Watch the video to learn more about the scheme, which launches for 2021-22 in the coming days.

Gonville & Caius College has had links with Norfolk since it was founded in 1348. Caius is linked Norfolk in the University of Cambridge’s outreach scheme, and the College and the County Council are working to improve confidence in applying to university, and more specifically to Cambridge.

The scheme was made possible by a generous bequest from a Caius alumnus.
