A statement from Professor Peter Robinson, the President of Gonville & Caius College:

Professor Pippa Rogerson has announced her intention to retire as Master of Gonville & Caius College at the end of the 2024-25 academic year.Professor Pippa Rogerson

“Professor Rogerson became the first female Master in the College's 670-year history on 1 October 2018 and will have served for seven years when she retires. She guided the College through the Covid pandemic and, more recently, led the acquisition of new property forming the largest expansion of the College's site in central Cambridge since medieval times. She has also served more widely in the University, including chairing the search committee for the new Vice-Chancellor.

“She looks forward to resuming full-time teaching and research in private international law.

“The Fellows of the College will be seeking a new Master and hope to identify Professor Rogerson's successor by the summer.”


Note: the President acts as deputy to the Master.
