Gonville & Caius College Fellow Professor Tim Pedley has been awarded the EUROMECH Fluid Mechanics Prize for 2024.

EUROMECH, the European Mechanics Society, is an international, non-governmental, non-profit
scientific organisation.

Professor Pedley’s award citation read: “For his seminal and outstanding contributions to fluid mechanics applied to biology and medicine, and for his distinguished service and leadership for the European and international fluid mechanics community.”

He will receive the prize at the 1st European Fluid Dynamics Conference in Aachen, Germany in September. The conference is a joint event combining the previous European Fluid Mechanics Conference and the European Turbulence Conference.
