BA Physics (Universidad Complutense de Madrid)
MASt Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (University of Cambridge)
PhD Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (University of Cambridge)
Research interests
I am interested in the connection between string theory and the real world. String theory tends to teach us lessons about what was going on in the very early universe. I study models that describe these very early epochs and their potential observational signatures, particularly gravitational waves.
Teaching interests
I have taught supervisions and examples classes in the Theoretical Physics modules of the Mathematics tripos: Quantum Mechanics (Part II Principles, Part II Applications), Part II Statistical Physics, Part III Cosmology and Part III Advanced Quantum Field Theory. I have also taught Quantum Field Theory in the ICTP initiatives Physics Without Frontiers for Latinoamérica (https://www.physicslatam.com) and Bangladesh (https://ahmedrakinkamal.com/physics-for-bangladesh).
