Benjamin Studebaker

Degrees

BA in Politics (University of Warwick), MA in Social Science (University of Chicago), PhD in Politics (University of Cambridge, ongoing)

Research interests

My PhD focuses on the legitimation problems economic inequality creates in rich, embedded democratic states. More generally, I like a healthy mix of political theory and political economy.

Teaching interests

I typically supervise for POL 1 and some combination of the History of Political Thought papers (POL 7, POL 8, and POL 11). I cover whichever topics students find interesting and am very often willing to try new things.

Awards and prizes

Queens’ College Prize for Outstanding Contribution to College Teaching (2018).
