Fellow Dr Michael Wood hosted “a special experience” when a group of his students returned to Gonville & Caius College for a 50th anniversary reunion event last Friday (September 20).

The idea was initiated and the dinner organised by alumnus Chris Spencer. Eleven of the 12 Engineers of 1974 invited were able to attend the event, with the 12th joining via a video call. Afternoon tea with Dr Wood was followed by an evening meal with partners.

Dr Wood, a Fellow of Caius since 1959, was moved by the opportunity to sit and talk with his former students, just as they did decades ago in their supervisions.
