New visiting professorships for Caius Fellows

Two Caius Fellows have been awarded visting professorships at prestigious overseas institutions. Law Fellow Dr Jens Scherpe has been appointed Cheng Yu Tung Visiting Professor in Law at the University of Hong Kong from November 2015 to 31 October 2018. He will be teaching courses on Comparative Family Law in Hong Kong, outside of Cambridge term time.
Meanwhile, Professor Tim Pedley, a Fellow in applied mathematics and theoretical physics, has been elected to the Raman Chair of the Indian Academy of Sciences for 2016. This visiting professorship, instituted in memory of Sir C.V. Raman, covers the whole of science, and is awarded approximately every two years. It involves visiting India for at least six weeks during the year.
