The College plans to hold a memorial service for Roger Carpenter on Saturday 30 June 2018, at 11am. Formerly Professor of Oculomotor Physiology, Professor Carpenter served Caius as Tutor, Registrary and Director of Studies in Medicine, and is warmly remembered as an admired teacher of neuroscience to many generations of Caian medical students. He died on 27 October 2017 after a long illness.

We have chosen this date for the memorial service in part because it is also the date of the annual meeting of the Caius Medical Association, and we know that many of Roger’s former colleagues and students will wish to be present. If you plan to attend the service, it would be kind if you could notify the Development Office so that we have an indication of numbers. After the service, light refreshments will be served in the Fellows’ Combination Rooms.
