  • 18 October 2019

Dr Maša Amatt has been appointed as the new Director of Development, and Fellow, from January 2020.

Maša completed her education and the Bachelor's degree in archaeology at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. She came to the UK to pursue a PhD in archaeology at the University of Cambridge (Peterhouse). A varied career path took her from several archaeological investigations to United Nations War Crimes Tribunal where she worked as an interpreter and assistant in war crimes investigations. Having completed her PhD, she worked in development and alumni relations at Christ’s College and St Catharine’s College. She joins Caius from The Perse School where she held the post of Director of Development since 2013.

As Director of Development at Gonville & Caius College, Maša will oversee the College’s alumni relations and fundraising strategy. She will lead a development programme to ensure our efforts continue to evolve to meet the needs of alumni and supporters.

Speaking of her appointment at Caius, Maša said, “I very much look forward to joining Caius. The College has close historical links with The Perse and it feels a very natural move. I passionately believe in education as a force for good and cannot think of a better way to put that passion to work than through collaborating with Fellows, alumni, supporters and students to strengthen Caius for the future."
