Introducing the new GCSU and MCR committees

The outgoing GCSU and MCR committees have now officially handed over to the new committees. These student societies are a vital component of College life. The committees represent the needs of undergraduates and graduates, respectively, and they provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students.

We are delighted to introduce the new committees.

 

Gonville & Caius Students' Union (GCSU)

Second year Natural Sciences student, Omar El Oakley, will be leading the GCSU as President. Joining Omar on the committee is Lili Donlon-Mansbridge as Vice President; Freya Sackville West as Secretary; Mimi Zhao as Treasurer; Christopher Jackson as Housing Officer; Emma Klahr as Publicity Officer; Rita Lourenço Baião Dias, Maddie Walton, Nazar Mohammed and James Morris as Entaintainment (Ents) Officers; Dan Webb as Food and Bar Officers; Christopher Deane as Access Officer; Ella Burns as Green Officer; Shivana Agarwal as Freshers Officer; Ella Hopcroft as Female Welfare Officer; Elliot Bealey as Male Welfare Officer; Francesca Hunt as Womens,' Officer; Reyna Nayee as BME Officer; Flora Ridsdill Smith as LGBT+ Officer; and Ashna Biju as Disabilities Officer.

Middle Combination Room (MCR)

Leading the new MCR committee as President is Anthony Bridgen, a Plant Science PhD student who completed undergraduate studies at Gonville & Caius as well. Joining Anthony on the committee is Benjamin Stokell as Vice President and Freshers’ Representative; Juliana Cudini as Secretary; Michele Sanguanini as Treasurer; Elizabeth Virgo, Marion Perrin and Matt Coote as Dining Officers; Hugo Dobson and Isaac Kelleher-Unger as Social Secretaries; Maria Stroyakovski as Women’s Welfare Officer; Lander Bosch as Men’s Welfare Officer; Michael Gardiner as Sports Officer; Stephanie D’Costa as BME Officer; Morgan Heycock as LGBTQ+ Officer; Amelia Drew as Computing Officer; Émer Jones as MCR-SCR Representative; Daria Mitko as Partners & Families’ Officer; and Jess Corry as Freshers’ Representative.
