A message from the Trustees

"Caius House was founded in the late 19th century by alumni of the College. It had, and continues to have, the charitable purpose of providing social activity, recreation, support and identity for young people in a less advantaged district of London.

In the early years, Caians would, on going down from Cambridge, take up residence at Caius House and work with the young people after returning from their daytime activities.  Caius House has continued in this tradition ever since; and although only loosely associated with the college now, it is run by a Board of Trustees who are all Caians, and who have been involved in this work for many years.

The new building is now up and running and already membership has doubled. A group of Caius students have been for a tour and Caius staff are doing likewise later in the spring. If any members of the College could find time to meet the young people from Caius House and perhaps come to cheer for them at the football match, they would greatly appreciate this."
