Today Gonville & Caius College launches Caius Explore, a new outreach initiative aimed at supporting students in year 12 (or equivalent) at state schools and colleges across to the UK in developing their academic interests beyond the school curriculum.

Fellows and graduate students have come together to set tasks and questions in twelve different subjects, accompanied by a range of accompanying material and guidance to help participating students get stuck in, even if they have little or no prior experience of this kind of super-curricular exploration.

Dr Chris Scott, Caius’s Tutor for Admissions and Outreach, said: “We’re really excited to be running Caius Explore this summer, especially in the continuing context of the pandemic, which has led to even greater discrepancies in the range and level of super-curricular support provided to UK students.

“It was really important to us in designing these explorations that we made them as accessible as possible, including lots of guidance and resources, whilst also making them suitably challenging and stimulating.”
