Triumph and disappointment for Caius crews in May Bumps

An incredible effort was put in by all our crews in this year's May Bumps - with a bittersweet mix of triumph and disappointment on the final day.  Caius ended the week up nine spots overall (12 up, three down) on the river, with an emotionally-charged last day.

Our graduate crew Bogdan's Revenge and W2 both achieved their blades - W2 are pictured here making their fifth bump of the week on Downing W2. M3 had a gutsy row on day four but were ultimately given a technical row over when forced to stop to avoid colliding boats ahead, while M2 were bumped by a quick Jesus M2.

Our women's first boat rowed over well in second position, but didn't quite catch Downing W1. Unfortunately, after five years at the top and and a hard fight, M1 moved to second on the river after being caught on the final day by Lady Margaret (the boat club of St John's College). Congratulations to our lower boat crews, and both first boats are looking to chase both Headships next year!
