In recent years there have been a series of successful and enjoyable reunions of members of the College who decided to celebrate the anniversary of their matriculation in a special way. A 40 Year Reunion was held on Sunday 18 September 2011 for a group of Caians who matriculated in 1971 and their partners.

The programme included:

• Coffee in the Green Room
• Buffet lunch in Hall
• Tour of the Archives and a visit to the Library
• A Lecture by Professor Roger Carpenter: “Are we just machines?”
• Tea in the Master's garden/dining room
• Evensong in Chapel
• Celebration Dinner in Hall

The reunion was celebrated by the establishment of a fund to raise £300,000 to endow a 1971 College Lectureship. The 1971 year group is currently about half of the way to achieving their target.
