Assistant Librarian (Bibliographic Support)

The Role



Gonville & Caius College is seeking an outstanding individual to join its Academic Library team as Assistant Librarian (Bibliographic Support). The role will support three other members of the academic Library team, and the primary responsibility will be the cataloguing and classification of materials to the working stock, for which training will be given. Knowledge of a second language is desirable. There will be the potential for the postholder to participate more widely in other activities and projects enhancing the work of the library, including user enquiries and exhibition work, both in-house and on-line. Good teamworking skills and an empathy with our students' requirements are pre-requisites.



This is a full-time permanent role, with a salary £25,500 - £28,000, dependant on knowledge and skills.
